Spay/Neuter Information

AWARE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides spay/neuter assistance to ALL residents of Chowan, Gates, and Perquimans counties in NC. AWARE has special programs for low-income residents in the same service area. 

AWARE is also a primary fundraising partner for the Tri-County Shelter and has provided Kuranda dog beds and other supplies for the comfort of the shelter residents, as well as a wash station and fenced-in play yard. AWARE's support is solely provided by grants and donations and 100% of its income goes to helping animals.

           We appreciate AWARE'S never-ending support of our tiny shelter in Tyner NC.

 If you or someone you know live in the following counties of Perquimans, Chowan or Gates and need assistance with getting an animal spayed or neutered, please click on one of the below download buttons for either dog or cat to be able to print and fill out the application.  If you are unable to print the application you can reach the A.W.A.R.E foundation by calling 1-866-711-9292 or emailing info@awarenc.org and an application can be mailed to you or by stopping by the shelter and picking one up.
