About Us

We are a small but deeply dedicated shelter located in Tyner, NC, proudly serving Chowan, Gates, and Perquimans counties. Our team consists of just three full-time employees and two part-time staff members, but despite our size, our commitment to the animals in our care is unwavering.

Each year, we take in hundreds of dogs and cats, many of whom come to us scared, neglected, or simply in need of a second chance. From the moment they arrive, we do everything in our power to provide them with comfort, care, and compassion. Every animal matters to us, and we work tirelessly to make sure they feel safe, loved, and valued while they are here.

Our goal is always to find each animal a loving, permanent home. We work closely within our local community to connect dogs and cats with families, and we are also incredibly grateful for the partnerships we've built with other shelters and rescue organizations that help us expand those opportunities even further. These relationships allow us to give so many animals a brighter future than they might have otherwise had.

While we may be small, our hearts are big, and our mission is even bigger. Every day, we show up for these animals because they deserve nothing less than a chance to be loved.
